Technical Specification Amendment.
Containment integrated Leak Rate
Dear Mr. Denton:
By letter dated August 20, 1985, Duke Power requested a change to Techr.ical
-Specification 3.6.1.2 concerning the allowed containment leakage rate. The proposed change affected 3.6.1.2a.l. and 3.6.1.2a.2 for allowed L and L,
respectively, increasing each value by 50%.
Since the justification and safety analysis in support of the proposed change addressed only the full pressure testing and leakage, Duke Power requests that the proposed change to Specification 3.6.1.2a.2 concerning reduced pressure testing be disre-garded as indicated on the attached page and only 3.6.1.2a.1 concerning full pressure testing be pursued. As McGuire has not conducted a reduced pressure test, has no data on such a test, and no plans to conduct a reduced pressure test, there is no basis for this changing the specifica-tion as it relates to reduced pressure testing.
As this request supplements an earlier submittal, no fees are required.
