Supplemental Request for Additional Information Regarding Proposed RTD Bypass Manifold System Removal - McGuire Nuclear Station, Units 1 and 2 The NRC staff is reviewing your request of October 29, 1985 for technical specification changes associated with renoval of the RTD Bypass Manifold System.
In addition to our requests of January 21, 1986, we find that additional information, requested by the enclosure, is needed regarding setpoint methodology for related reactor trip instrumentation and regard-ing equipment environmental qualification aspects.

ENCLOSURE REQUEST FOR KDDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING RTD BYPAS5 MANIFOLD REMOVAL 1.
Provide a discussion on the setpoint methodology and error allowances used to establish the revised technical specification allowable values for the OverpoweroT, Overtemperature AT, and Low Reactor Coolant Flow Reactor Trips resulting from the RTD bypass manifold removal.

Provide a discussion of the equipment environmental qualification as related to compliance with 10 CFR 50.49.
