Use of ASME Code Case N-412 for Vogtle Units 1 and 2  :

The staff has completed its review of your request for authorization to use ASME Code Case N-412 for application at Vogtle Units 1 and 2 as discussed in i your letter dated October 15, 1985. l Code Case N-412. " Alternate Rules for Witnessing the Piping System Pressure Tests of Classes 1, 2 and 3 Piping SystemsSection III, Division 1," is an acceptable Code Case which is approved as written with no additional require-ments other than those specified in the Code Case.

Code Case N-412 may, therefore, be used at Vogtle Units 1 and 2 within the limitations stated in the " Inquiry" and " Reply" sections of the Code Case. Use of the Code Case needs to be documented in a future FSAR amendment.
