Dear Sirs:
On July 11,1983, we sent a letter to your office, requesting that the two licenses referred to above be discontinued and informing you of the pending disposal of the materials involved.
We have just received (August 16,1983) a letter informing us about the impending expiration of one of those licenses, #SNM 1836, and,the appropriate steps to be taken by us.
In view of the previous request to discontinue the. licenses,

and the future date on which the materials will be disposed 'of, we are hereby requesting a License for Storage Only. This license should be in effect until the DOE Tets the contract for the deconta-mination of CEER, formerly Puerto Rico Nuclear Center, where the materials are now in storage.
As part of the decontamination program the materials referred to will be disposed of in accordance with existing regulations.
