VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER TRIGA MARK I REACTOR EMERGENCY PLAN (TAC NO. M98055)
Dear Dr. Phillips:
This letter acknowledges receipt of your _ letter dated February 3,1997, which transmitted changes to the Emergency Plan for the Omaha Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center TRIGA Mark I Nuclear Reactor submitted under the provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(q).
Based on your determination that the changes do not decrease the overall effectiveness of your emergency plan, and that it continues to meet the requirements of apolicable parts of Appendix E to Part 50, NRC approval is not required. Our initial review of these changes indicates them to be in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54(q).
Implemen6 tion of these changes will be subject to inspection to confirm that they have not decreased the overall s
effectiveness of your emergency plan.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter"will be placed in the'NRC Public Document Room.
