?, 12 I routed cable, then to gain more experience, pulled the o z (- E cable that I had routed on a cable-pulling crew. I y 13 t. worked in the field as an' electrician for four weeks. 5, 14 U When I'was out in the field, we pulled two cables that 1S w 5, were later spliced by another crew approximately an 16 g d 800'+ pull and another pull which was approximately the t 17 x E same length which was Q (quality-control) cable. The re. 18 E location of the spliced Q cable was in the cable-spread 19 89 room. (The reason that I know that this cable was later spliced is that a few days later I went, back and ' checked g l-it and found that it had been spliced.) I wasn't ~. e v a r told tha't an engineer or structural d'esign s uppo rt. 1 5 c. 5 engineer would review any of these drawings drawings C f l which were actually given to the construction field n 7 E 8 supervisors to be installed. n _. q. 8 j Fearing that, I'went out in the field with 9 j 0 10 several.gf my co--work'ers and saw that the Brown and Root oz 11 hanger locations were actually being constructed to the E 6 12 specifications of our Rev ls ' ( B RHL 's). I was shocked.. z (. h13 I went to a coo.rdinator and reported the-mistakes that 7 m E 14 they were making in using our d.rawings as the basis for xb 15 actual supports. 'We went to the drafting supervisor and xe 16 reported the problem t'o him and he said, " Don't worry about B v. h' 17 5 it it's none of your business." Ile also said that r: 2 g E 18 1 they had already been checked -- but he didn't say by = t-l " '19 who. l En 20 That's the primary reason that I am here today 1 21 to inform the Board of-this situation.
