REQUEST FOR INFORMATION CONCERNING STATION BLACK 0UT FOR MILLSTONE NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNIT N0. 3 Your letter of December 26, 1985 requested an additional 60 days to respond to our December 18, 1985 letter concerning Station Blackout for Millstone 3. In l recent discussions with the staff, you indicated that your basis for requesting the extension is that you would like.to discuss with the staff, and better understand, the conservatisms used in the staff's analysis. We have scheduled a meeting for January 23, 1986 to discuss the details of the staff _'s risk evaluation.

Based on your concerns of the possible corservatisms in the staff's risk evaluation and the need to develop a dialogue with the staff on the technical details, we believe that the extension until March 18, 1986 that you requested is acceptable.
