SUMMARY
MONTH: February,1997 Catawba Unit I began the month of February operating at 100% full power. The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 02/14/97 at 2348, when the unit began decreasing power and held at 59% power from 02/15/97 at 0435 to 1618 due to "l A" feedwater pump turbine speed sensor. The unit returned to 100% full power on 02/16/97 at 0244, and operated at or near 100% full power the remainder of the month.

. Catawba Unit 2 began the month of February operating at 100% full power. The unit operated at or near 100% full power until 02/28/97 at 1012, when the unit began decreasing power and held at 48% power l
from 2110 to 2245 to repair suspected condenser tube leak in "2B" feedwater pump turbine. The unit began increasing power and ended the month operating at approximately 51% full power.
