l BELLEFONTE NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS FAILURE OF AIR COMPRESSOR MOTOR - INGERSOLL RAND - BLRD-50-438/83 REVISED FINAL REPORT l-
'The subject deficiency was initially reported to NRC-OIE Inspector P. E. Fredrickson~on December 9, 1982 in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55(e) as NCR 2102. This was followed by our interim reports dated January 7 and May 26, 1983 and January 9 and October 3, 1984. Our final report was submitted on April 15, 1985. Related NCRs 2285 and 2535 had also been reported and are now being included as part of this 50.55(e) concern. Below is our revised final report.
As discussed with NRC-0IE Region II Inspector Al Ignatonis on October 25, 1985, the date of October 23, 1985 for completion of corrective actions indicated in our final report on this matter was not met because Reliance Electric has delayed delivery of the replacement motors.
In addition, we have decided to store the motors upon receipt and install them inusediately before RJ system testing and transfer. Accordingly, the replacement motors will be in place no later than six months before fuel loading.
