SUMMARY
FEBRUARY 1997 UNIT 1 Unit 1 generated 788,158 megawatthours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during February with a capacity j
factor of 101.5 percent. There were no outages or power reductions of greater than 20 percent to report j
during February.
l On Febmary 19 at 2032 EST, Unit 1 entered coastdown to Unit 1 Cycle 8 refueling outage with rods fully j
withdrawn. On February 20 at 0740 the initial decrease in main turbine load was initiated. Turbine load has l-been decreasing each day. Unit I was operating at 93 percent power at the end of Febmary.

UNIT 2 I
Unit 2 generated 790,568 megawatthours (MWh) (gross) electrical power during February with a capacity l~
factor of 101.8 percent. There were no outages or power redu'ctions of greater than 20 percent to report during February. However, on Febmary 28 at approximately 0630 EST, Unit 2 experienced a balance of plant mnback as a result of the failure of #3 Heater Drain Tank Level Control Valve (LCV) 2-LCV-6-106. Unit 2 i
l was operating at approximately 83 percent reactor power at the end of February.
