Gray File +4 JShea EMcPeek The Commission has issued the. enclosed Amendment No.109 to Provisional Operating License No. DPR-21 for Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. I and Amendment No.107to Facility Operating License No. DPR-65 for Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2, in response to your application dated May 22, 1985, as supplemented July 2, 1985.
The amendments would:
(1) permit the use of contingency guard force personnel not.nonnally assigned to the guard force ~ to be assigned to replace striking guard force personnel; and (2) eliminate the requirement that Security Shift Supervisors be required to requalify annually in crucial tasks performed by watchmen and guards, unless they are assigned to these tasks as a member of the contingency guard force.
q A copy of the Safety Evaluation is enclosed. Also enclosed is a listing of approved security plans for Millstone Nuclear Power Plant, Units 1 and 2.
This listing should be maintained with the safeguards plans, separate from the license. The notice of issuance will be included in the Conunission's next bi-weekly Federal Register notice.
