Subject: Inspection Report No. 50-271/85-30
This refers to the routine resident safety inspection conducted by Mr. W. J.
Raymond of this office on September 21 - October 18, 1985, at the Vermont
Yankee Nuclear Power Station, Vernon, Vermont. The inspection consisted of
observation of activities, interviews with personnel and document reviews.
The results of the inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection
Report enclosed with this letter and were discussed with Mr. J. P. Pelletier
of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
No violations were identified within the scope of this inspection.
Our inspector also reviewed the actions taken to correct the Violation
(84-21-07) involving the failure to properly bolt the separator / shroud head
assembly to the core shroud as identified in our letter to you dated December
6, 1984. We have no further questions at this time regarding your actions to
correct the violation and to assure the correct performance of routine main-
tenance activities.
