I. Narrative Summary of Operating Experiences f.

The The unit began the month at approximately 304 power. .? q following testing was completed under Test Condition-2 (TC-2): l Safety relief valve (SRV) rated pressure, turbine trip within  : '

bypass valve capacity, reactor cooldown demonstration, reactor enclosure and. main steam tunnel temperature, reactor shutdown to hot standby demonstration, and main steam relief valve 1 discharge piping vibration during SRV operation.

On September 11, the unit scrammed on low reactor water level The reactor from 284 power, and an unusual event was declared. ,

water level dropped to minus 38 inches (129 inches above active '

fuel) and HPCI and RCIC injections were initiated. The low f1 level occurred when the feedwater pumps tripped on low suction pressure following tripping of one of two operating Thecondensate unit was pumps on high strainer differential pressure.

' returned to service the next day.

On September 12, the unit was manually scrammed to perform the i remote shutdown panel test. The unit.was returned to service .

on September 14.

On September 16, the turbine-generator wasinvolved This also manuallyan tripped as expected part of the Loss of Power test. The test was completed and the unit was automatic scram. l returned to service on September 18. -
