Measurements and Approximations of Total Radieretivity a.

Fission and activation gases (1) These gases, excluding tritium, are collected in a Marinelli type beaker, specially modified for gas sampling, steel bombs, of glass vials and counted on a Ce(Li) detector for principal gesma emitters.

(2) Tritium gas is collected using a bubble apparatus and counted by liquid scintillation.

b.

Todines are collected on a charcoal cartridge filter, and counted on a Ca(Li) detector.

Particulates - are collected on filter paper and counted on a Ce(1,1) c.

detector.

d.

Liquid affluents - are collected la bottles and comatd es a Ce(Li) degettor.

Peg'2 4 cf 51 The following is a list of the sources of input data that were used in I.ADTAP and CASPAR codes:

a.

0-50 mile seat. milk and vegetable production, veter usage information; location of the nearest individuals and pathways by sector out to 5 miles - source: Appedix I analysis, FRC Docket No. 50-346 Evaluation of Coopliance with Appendix 1 to 10cF150, June 4,1976, Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No.1 b.

1980 population within 50 miles of the plant site - source: Davis-Besse Uniits 2 and 3 PSAR, Figure 2.1-6.

c.

Caseous and liquid source terms - sources: Tables IA,1 C, 2A, and 25.

Table 6 presents the maximum doses computed frce the noble gas effluents for each quarter. Tables 7 and 8 present doses resulting from gaseous iodine and partien1ste effluents. Doses resulting from liguid iodine and particulates are presented in Table 9 and 10. Tables 11 through 18 present the I/Q values associated with the dose values presented la Tables 6 through 10.

Based on the information presented above, it is comeladed that the doses to individuals are well below the dose objectives of Appendix I to 10CT150.

In addition, populatioe doses within 50 miles of the plant are also very leer.
