Dear Mr. Denton:

On July 24 and 25, 1985, South Carolina Electric & Cas Company (SCE&G) met with the NRC Staf f, both NRR and Region II, to discuss the recent Appendix R reanalysis ef fort and the Region II related concerns identified during the Fire Protection Audit of June 3 - 7, 1985 (Audit Report 50-395/85-26). As a result of this meeting, SCE&G agreed to provide additional information in the areas of non-scheduled outage modification performance, non-outage work schedule, summary of times and steps to clarify the timeline, emergency lighting, sampling methodology for common enclosure, identification of areas that are local control areas, and information regarding fuses, lif ted leads, disconnects, and other concerns voiced during the meeting. The enclosure addresses ther,e areas. As requested, additional information concerning protection of the structural steel for the "M" board fire barrier, control logic modification for the steam generator Power Operated Relief Valves and the reactor coolant TH/TC temperature instrumentation modification will be forwarded by separate correspondence.
