ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS (TAC N05. M96675 AND M96676) 3
Dear Ms. Johnson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (Commission) has issued the enclosed Amendment No.176 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-39 and Amendment No.163 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-48 for the Zion Nuclear Power Station, Units 1 and 2, respectively. The amendments are in response to your application dated October 4,1996, and supplemented on November 6,1996.
The amendments add a Mode of Applicability to Technical Specification 3.2.3.D, Inoperable Rod Position Indicator Channels.
A copy of the Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's biweekly Federal Reaister notice.
