Byron 1 - Environmental Effects of High Energy Line Breaks Your letter dated May 17, 1985 provided justification for continued operation of Byron 1 in light of revised predicted environmental parameters resulting from certain high energy line breaks. By letter dated May 20, 1985, we con-cluded that the interim measure of posting personnel at designated locations was adequate to detect and isolate breaks before the environmental conditions exceed predicted values.
By letter dated August 23, 1985 you stated that the permanent modification will not be completed until September 30, 1985. As long as you continue to keep personnel posted at the designated locations, as you have committed to in your letter, we find this schedule acceptable.
