. MEETING SUMMARY Apparent violations identified during the inspection were discussed, along with the corrective actions taken or planned by the licensee. The apparent violations involved a failure to: (1) adequately implement the maintenance program; (2) take adequate corrective actions; (3) perform adequate operability evaluations; (4) perform safety evaluations in accordance with 10 CFR 50.59 for previously existing conditions; and (5) maintain quality j assurance records.

Predecisional Enforcement Conference i A Predecisional Enforcement Conference was held in the NRC Region III Office on September 27, 1996.

Apparent violations of NRC regulations were discussed.

The inspection findings were documented in Inspection Report No.

50-373; 374/96009 (DRP), which was transmitted to the licensee by letter dated September 11, 1996. The purpose of this conference was to discuss the < apparent violations, root causes, contributing factors, and the licensee's corrective actions.

The licensee's presentation included a discussion of the apparent violations, , their safety significance, the circumstances which caused the apparent violations, and an outline of corrective actions taken or planned.

The NRC representatives questioned the licensee to clarify the extent of the licensee's investigation and corrective actions.
