4 APPENDIX B NOTICE OF-DEVIATION
'A'rkansas Power & Light Company Docket:
50-313/85-23 Arkansas Nuclear One, Unit 1 License:
DPR-51 Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted during the period of September 1-30, 1985, and in accordance with NRC Enforcement Policy (10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C, 1985), the following deviation was identified.
Failure to Meet a Commitment Relative to Implementation of B&W Safe-End Task Force Recommendations By a letter dated April 22, 1985, in response to a request from the NRC's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation, the licensee committed to implement the recommendations made by the B&W Owner's Group Safe-End T ask Force for
' correction of the discrepancies associated with the high pressure injection / makeup nozzles.
In deviation from the above, the licensee failed to implement all of the recommendations made by the task force.

Arkansas Power and Light Company is hereby requested to submit to this office, within 30 days of the date of. this Notice of' Deviation, a written statement or explanation in reply, including:
(1) the corrective steps which have been taken and the results achieved; (2) corrective' steps which will be taken to avoid further deviation from commitments made to the Commission;.and (3) the date when full compliance will be achieved.
Consideration may be given to extending your response time for good cause shown.
