INFORMING ALLEGERS OF THE DEGREE TO WHICH THE NRC CAN PROTECT THEIR IDENTITY Attached is a memorandum from the EDO describing contacts with allegers. The memorandum describes information that you are expected to provide an alleger

~ , regarding the degree to which the NRC can protect the alleger's identity. I expect all staff to review this memorandum carefully and adhere to it in dealing with an alleger.

Training sessions will be provided on this guidance in the near future. In addition, a laminated card containing this information will be developed so that the information can be placed in a wallet. In the interim, if you have any questions on this guidance, contact Dave Vito, Senior Allegation Coordinator (X5222) or your supervisor. '
