Dear Mr. Keppler:
On July 23, 1985, Commonwealth Edison Company notified your office of'a potential deficiency reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) regarding 1A and 1B diesel generator's failure to sustain adequate prime during testing at our Braidwood Station.
This letter provides additional information concerning this matter and serves as an interim report.
Representatives from S&L, Cooper Energy Services, and CECO.
have agreed upon a modification to tho diesel engine fuel system.
Revised drawings from Cooper Energy Services will be sent to provide the details of this modification.
Once the modification is completed, testing will be conducted to verify that adequate fuel oil. system prime is maintained.
A final report will be sent when the testing is completed.
