Dear Mr. Denton:
By letters f rom Mr. O. W. D ixon, J r. to Mr. H. R. Denton dated August 30, 1985, Se p tembe r 18, 1985, and October 16, 1985, South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) requested a revision to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Technical Specifications to allow for specific alternatives to tube plugging in the steam generators. Based on the results of eddy-current testing performed during the present re fueling outage, SCE&G has determined that the amendnunt is not necessary and requests that the Technical Specification revision be wit hd rawn.
