Dear Lyall:

Enclosed are four copies of the Annual Report of the Mallinckrodt Chemical Works for 1959.

As you may know, this is a consolidated report and. It contains Information of the Mallinckrodt Nuclear Corporation.

This is be Ing forwarded in accordance with your reques t of Ned Nor th on June 15th.

This is the latest published information which we have.

In answer to your other questions, our records show that our average daily inventory at Hematite is approximately $6,000,000.

The maximum creditable loss would probably be one cylinder of fully enriched uranium hexafluoride.

This would have a value of slightly over $250,000.

All of our inventory is covered by insurance and any loss, therefore, would be reimbursed.

The premium we pay is based on the average daily inventory.

I hope the above information will answer the questions which were raised as a result of our request for an allocation for 746 kgs. of fully enriched material for the first two quarters I

of the next fiscal year.
