Dear Mr. Carey:
SUBJECT:
UNESCORTED ACCESS AT THE BEAVER VALLEY UNIT 1 SITE FOR MR. P. TAM Recently, the Division of Licensing has adopted a goal to obtain unescorted access badges for NRC Project Managers at their assigned plant sites.
Since we expect a project manager to be at the site for technical meetings and tours several times a year, such a badge would greatly facilitate matters.
By this letter, we request that your staff work with Mr. Peter Tam, the Project Manager for Beaver Valley Unit 1, to obtain for him a badge which would allow him to pass through security check points unescorted. He is currently holding an "L" clearance at NRC, and would be willing to take the training that is needed for such a badge.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
/s/SAVarga Steven A. Varga, Chief Operating Reactors Branch #1 Division of Licensing ORB #1:DL ORB #1:
