SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE FOR SEPTEMBER 1985 The reporting period began with the Plant at 57 percent power and power escalation was in progress. On September 1 at 0044 hours5.092593e-4 days <br />0.0122 hours <br />7.275132e-5 weeks <br />1.6742e-5 months <br />, the unit was taken off line due to an EH leak discovered on a line to the number one turbine governor valve. The unit was back on line the same day at 1015 hours0.0117 days <br />0.282 hours <br />0.00168 weeks <br />3.862075e-4 months <br /> and was again taken of f line a few hours later at 1327 hours0.0154 days <br />0.369 hours <br />0.00219 weeks <br />5.049235e-4 months <br /> due to another EH leak on the number one governor valve.

The unit was placed back on line September 2 at 0616 hours0.00713 days <br />0.171 hours <br />0.00102 weeks <br />2.34388e-4 months <br /> and remained on line until September 8 at 1030 hours0.0119 days <br />0.286 hours <br />0.0017 weeks <br />3.91915e-4 months <br /> when the unit was taken off line to repair the number one governor valve. While on line during this time, the unit operated most of the time at 68 percent power, with power reductions occurring twice to evaluate the EH problem.

The unit was placed back on line on September 9 at 0728 hours0.00843 days <br />0.202 hours <br />0.0012 weeks <br />2.77004e-4 months <br /> and remained on line until September 14 at 0623 hours0.00721 days <br />0.173 hours <br />0.00103 weeks <br />2.370515e-4 months <br /> when the unit was taken off line to perform additional maintenance on the number one governor valve. While on line during this time, the unit operated most of the time at 89 percent power with number one governor valve closed.

The unit was back on line on September 15 at 1002 hours0.0116 days <br />0.278 hours <br />0.00166 weeks <br />3.81261e-4 months <br />. The unit reached 98 percent power on September 16 and essentially remained there through the end of the reporting period.
