SUBJECT:
EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATION INSPECTION BRUNSWICK UNITS 1 AND 2 This letter confirms the dates of August 12-16, 1985 for the NRC equipment qualification (EQ) inspection at Brunswick Units 1 and 2.
These dates were established during a telephone conversation on July 19, 1985 between Mr. R. Fasnacht of your staff and Mr. P. Frederickson, NRC Region II. The inspection will take place at the plant site in Southport, North Carolina.
A management entrance meeting is scheduled for 2:00 pm on Aug'ust 12, 1985 at the plant site. The management exit meeting is tentatively scheduled for 1:00 pm on August 16, 1985 also at the plant site. A plant walkdown inspection of equipment is tentatively scheduled for August 14, 1985.
The inspection will include the following:
1.
Review of your implementation of a 10 CFR 50.49 EQ program including preservation of the qualified status of qualified equipment.
'2.
Review of your implementation of Technical Evaluation Report / Safety Evaluation Report EQ corrective action commitments.
3.
Review of Ey documentation files.
4.
Physical inspection of selected equipment.
