Pevocation of Construction Pemits for Cherokee Units 1, 2 and 3 By letter dated September 21, 1983, you tendered Construction Pemits numbered CPPR-167, CPPR-168 and CPPR-169 for Cherokee Units 1, 2 and 3 to the NRC and requested that these dockets be deleted. The September 21, 1983 letter also included a stabilization plan for the Cherokee site. The NRC staff has completed its review of the Cherokee Site Stabilization plan, and has concluded that the implementation of the site stabilization plan will not have any significant detrimental environmental impact to offsite areas. Consequently, we hereby accept your tender of the Cherokee Units 1, 2 and 3 Construction Pemits, and will change Dockets 50-491, 50-492 and 50-493 to cancelled status.
An Order revoking the construction pemits is enclosed, a copy of which has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
A detailed description of the NRC staff review of the Cherokee Site Stabilization Plan is enclosed.
