E. Fmdrickson on November 21, 1983 in accordance with 10 CPR 50.55(e) as NCR BLN EB 8303. This was followed by our interim reports dated December 20, 1983, and April 6 and October 23, 1984.

We consider 10 GR Part 21 applicable to this deficiency.

Description of Deficiency A potential problen has been identified concerning the fuel oil line f ran the engine-motmted fuel transfer pump to the engine fuel oil header on the Excessive engine vibration could possibly cause standby diesel generators.

TV A uill also install a shield between the fuel line and the turbocharger exhaust gas inlet to prevent fuel spray f rom a broken line f rom being ignited by the exhaust system.
