Inspection Nos. 50-317/85-05 and 50-318/85-05
A radiological safety inspection of upcoming outage activities was conducted by
Mr. P. Clemons of this office on March 26-29, 1985, at Lusby, Maryland, of
activities authorized by NRC License Nos. DPR-53 &nd DPR-69 and to the
discussions of our findings held by Mr. Clemons with Mr. Russell at the
conclusion of the inspection.
Areas that were reviewed included planning and preparation, licensee and
contractor personnel training, posting and labeling, and the low level waste
storage facility. Our review of the preparations for the outage indicate the
extensive and detailed efforts your staff has dedicated to preplanning,
enhanced radiation worker training, and dose reduction consideration.
Our inspector also verified the steps you have taken to correct the violations
and inspector follow-up items brought to your attention in the enclosure to
our letters dated July 18, 1984 and January 29, 1985. We have no further
questions regarding your actions at this time.
No violations were identified.
