As indicated in the enclosed TWX report, the Radiation Effects Reactor (RER) has been decommissioned in accordance with Sections B and D of 'the Lockheed Decommissioning Plan, dated April 12,
- 17(1. Based on the results of the inspection, it is recommended that Operating License No. R-86 be terminated and that regulatory ,
control of the site be. simaltaneously transferred to the Radiological Health Service of the Georgia Department of Public Health as described in Section A of the Decommissioning Plan.
The results of the inspection, that was' conducted on Jul,y 14, 1971, will be documented in an inspection report that will be forwarded
