Dear Messrs. Kohn and Condit:

This is in rcsponse to your letters of April 9, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), various categories of documents relating to Dow Chemical Company of Midland, Michigan.

Listed in Appendices A through E are documents which have been determined to be subject to these requests. These documents are being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR),1717 H Street, NW, Washington, DC 20555, for your inspection and copying, in a folder under your name with the four F0IA numbers listed above.

All of the documents listed in Appendices A through E refer to Dow Chemical Company licenses which have expired. A few additional documents pertaining to these licenses are still undergoing review, and we expect to complete the review within a few days.

Documents pertaining to current Dow licenses are being reviewed in our regional office, and we expect to receive these next week. You will be notified about these by the end of.this month.

You may also recall that other documents pertaining to Dow Chemical Company were released under your earlier F0IA request, F01A-84-850, and can be found in the PDR under that F0IA number.
