Dear Mr. Keppler:
References (a), (b) and (c) provided information concerning a potential deficiency reportable pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55(e) regarding electrical butt splices not installed in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations at our Braidwood Station.
The purpose of this letter is to provide an updated status of the corrective actions that will be taken to resolve this issue.- This letter is considered to be a final report.
As previously indicated in Reference (c), a listing of all cables / equipment potentially utilizing butt splices was being developed using documentation associated with completed terminations.
This listing has recently been completed and allows reinspection to be waived for panels in which all field cable terminations occurred after:the installation / inspection procedure upgrades (5/1/84).
