During our discussions on December 7-8, 1984 with the APS Study Group in -
Cambridge, MA, the Study Group requested additional information on a number of -
source term questions.
In the previous mailing, the NRC sent you the following articles:
o " Selection of Plants and Accident Sequences," W. Pasedag, USNRC o " Generation of Aerosols During Steam Explosions," D. Powers, SNL o " Effects of Combustion and Steam Explosions on Fission Product Behavior," D. Powers, SNL Please find enclosed the following article:
o " Additional Information on Core / Concrete Interactions," D. Powers, SNL We believe that this article completes the outstanding items.
In addition, you may recall our discussion during December 7-8 on supplemental -
NRC tasks. These tasks were initiated to respond to your coments and in-quiries regarding quality assurance in and for our source term analysis; the emphasis was on the CORCON code. We plan to complete and transmit the results of these tasks during the week of January 21, 1985.
If the NRC can provide further assistance to the APS Study Group, please do not
- hesitate to call either myself or Chris Ryder.
