June 1985 McGuire Unit 1 began the month in a refueling outage. The outage was extended by. valve repairs, testing and cleanup. The unit returned to service on June 27, l
but was forced to hold power several times during power escalation for-chemistry clean-up. Due to a feedpump' alignment problem, the unit operated at 52% power for the' balance lof the month.

SUMMARY
Month:
June 1985 McGuire Unit 2 tripped on June 1 because of a faulty level detector. The unit returned to service June 2 and increased power to 100%. The unit tripped on June 24 when~a solenoid failed and caused a steam generator isolation valve to close. On its return to service on June 27, the unit held power to work on the automatic load control circuitry. On June 30 the unit was forced to reduce power to clean a clogged oil filter on a feedpump.and then returned to 100%.
