' EAR 11 W Mr. Curt Hules Wilkes-Barre Citizens' Voice 75 North Washington Street IN RESPONSE REFER Wilkes-Barre, PA 18711 TO F01A-85-72
Dear Mr. Hules:
This is in further response to your letter of January 25, 1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act (F0IA), records of companies licensed for low-level waste in Pennsylvania, Maryland. Delaware, and 1
West Virginia, and records pertaining to the operational performance of those companies.
Enclosedarethedocument[listedontheenclosedAppendicesBthroughF.
As agreed in a February 21, 1985, telephone conversation between you and Sarah Wigginton of my staff, personal identifiers, such as social security numbers, birth dates, home addresses, and home telephone numbers have been deleted.
The documents containing those deletions are identified by asterisks on the appendices.
The enclosed documents respond to both categories of your request in that each appendix consists of all documentation on a given company.
l Thechargeforreproducingrecordsissevencents($0.07)perpage.
The cost of reproducing the 1,800 pages enclosed with this letter is $126.00.
You will i
be billed for this amount by the NRC's Division of Accounting and Finance.
1 The documents listed on Appendix G are general in nature and are already publicly available at the NRC's Public Document Room (PDR) located at 1717 H Street NW, Washington, DC.
Attached is a notice which explains charges and l
procedures for obtaining documents from the PDR.
During the March 8, 1985, telephone conversation between you and Ms. Wigginton, you narrowed the scope of your request to exclude four documents containing the names of confidential sources whose allegations of possible safety problems resulted in a subsequent investigation of the facility in question and one i
document describing Radiation Management Corporation's concept of emergency support for nuclear facilities.
This completes NRC action on your request.
t Sincerely, 1
