issued to the Northern States Power Company (the licensee) for operation of the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant (the facility), a boiling water reactor located in Wright County,141nnesota, and currently authorized for operation at power 1cvels up to 1670 mt.

l The amendment would revise the provisions in the Technical Specifi-i cations for the facility to change the 850 psig main steam line pressure isolation setting to 825 psig, and to revise the minimum critical power ratio limits for both 7 x 7 and 8 x 8 fuel assemblies in regard to 8

operating limits in accordance with the licensee's application for amendment dated December 1,1975.

Prior to issuance of the proposed license amendment, the Commission i

will have made the findings required by the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as ' amended (the Act) and the Commission's rules and regulations.

Timely petitions will be considered to determine whether a hearing should be noticed or another appropriate order issued regarding the disposition of the petitions.

In the event that a hearing is held and a person is permitted to 4

intervene, he becomes a party to the proceeding and has a right to participate fully in the conduct of the hearing.
