Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (OCNGS)
Docket No. 50-219 Facility Operating License No. DPR-16 Core Spray Annulus Piping GPU Nuclear has evaluated the safety significance of the new findings on the Core Spray Annulus Piping. The results of this evaluation are delineated in Topical Report No. TR-092 which is enclosed for your review.
We have concluded that the observed leak is an isolated weld defect which will not affect the performance of the core spray system. The remaining portion of the weld (L-3a) is intact and will maintain the integrity of the coupling for stresses under all design basis conditions.
TR-093 (Letter No. C321-93-2010) and TR-092 document our 14R inspection activities and the evaluation of the findings on the Core Spray system in accordance with Lit.ense Condition 2.C.(5). Based on this evaluation, OPU ;
