Dear Mr. Felton:
The above referenced letter described the 10- and 50-Mile Emergency Planning Zone Maps now in use by and available from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. To improve communications dur$ng an emergency, we plan to use your 10-Mile and 50-Mile Emergency Planning Zone Maps in our Technical Support Center and Emergency Operations Facility.
The Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant is located in the extreme Southwst corner of Wake County, North Carolina, and the Southeast corner of Chatham County, North Carolina. Coordinates of the reactor are:
Latitude, (North) 35* 38' 00" Longitude, (West) 78* 57' 22" Universal Transverse (North) 3,945,013.683 Mercator Coordinates (East) 685,064.389 The Universal Transverse Mercator zone is 17.

It is requested that the Shearon Harris Power Plant be provided with two copies each of the 10-Mile and 50-Mile Emergency Planning Zone Maps. They should be sent to:

Please invoice charges to Carolina Power & Light Company, Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant and submit it with the requested maps to Mr. Garrou.
