Dear Mr. Maiman:
It is our privilege to transmit to you ten copies of the Second Interim Report of our activities in overviewing the Braidwood Construction Assessment Program (BCAP).
We have continued to conduct our overview function by a technical assessment and review of BCAP documents, surveillance of the BCAP elements and activities, audits of BCAP and areas associated with BCAP, and by meetings and discussions to gain clarification and understanding. Thi s overview has continued to support our assessment that the Braidwood Con-struction Assessment Program remains technically sound and should provide reasonable assurance of the quality of construction at the Braidwood Stati on.
As inoicated in our letter transmitting our First Interim Report, we have altered our emphasis to be responsisve to the shift in the BCAP ac-tivities from program development to implementation.
In consonance with this, we are overviewing the various elements of BCAP as they proceed with the implementation of the program.
Through our monthly activity reports and future Interim Reports, we will continue to provide you with information on our activities.
Never-theless, should any item be such that it is important for your immediate attention, we will inform you of this item at once.
