Dear Mr. Crutchfield:
The subject letter documents the NRC Acceptance Review of the Application for Final Design Approval and Design Certification of the SBWR submitted on August 27, 1992. The letter identifies items that are nee @d to complete the application. GE will submit all additional information requested by the letter on February 28,1993. This is in accordance with the plan identified in the Reference letter. The content of these additional items will be consistent with the content of the ABWR Application for Design Certification.
The following items listed in the subject letter as " missing information" were submitted in the application on August 27,1992:
o Water level (flood) design (Section 3.4) o Reactor Coolant Pressure Boundary inservice Inspection and Testing (Section 5.2.4)

Given the subject letter indicates that initial NRC Staf f review has begun based on the August 1992 submittal and that all necessary additional information will be provided in the February 28,1993 submittal, GE considers that June 1994 is achievable for completion of Staff review and issuance of the FDA.
It is requested that a meeting between the Staff and GE be held in early 1993 to formulate the schedule and establish the necessary working relationships to assure a timely, efficient review process.
