Jersey Central Power & Light Company (the licensee), which revised.the

Technical Specifications for operation of the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station (the facility), located in Ocean County, New Jersey. This amendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment approves Appendix A Technical Specifications for l
certain TMI-2 Lessons Learned Category "A" requirements oncerning j
(1) Emergency Power Supply / Inadequate Core Cooling. (2) Valve Position Indication, (3) Containment Isolation, (4) Shift Technical Advisor, I
(5)- Integrity of Systems Outside Containment, and (6) Iodine Monitoring.
i The application for amendment complies with the standards and require-
{
ments of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's rules and regulations. The Commission has made appropriate j
findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations j
in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendment.
Prior I
public notice of this action was not required since the amendment does j
not involve a significant hazards consideration.
j The Comission has detennined that the issuance of this amendment will not result in any significant environmental impact and that pursuant to 10 CFR 551.5(d)(4) an environmental impact statement or negative l

connection with issuance of this amendment.
