Inspection Report No. 50-322/85-04
This refers to the special safety inspection conducted by Mr. R. L. Nimitz of
this office on February 11-15, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC License
No. NPF-19 and to the discussions of our findings held by Mr. Nimitz with
Mr. Steiger of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I
Inspection Report enclosed with this letter. The inspection of your post-
accident sampling and monitoring systems consisted of selective examinations
of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and obser-
vations by the inspector.
No violations were observed.
However, certain activities require improvement
to be acceptable relative to NUREG-0737. You are requested to review the
items identified in the attached report and respond within 25 days of the date
of this letter on actions planned or taken in regard to these items.
The responses directed by this letter are not subject to the clearance pro-
cedures of the Office of Management and Budget as required by the Paperwork
Reduction Act of 1980, PL 96-511. Your cooperation with us in this matter is
appreciated.
