On September 27 through September 30, our District.II Safeguards Office conducted a safeguards inspection of the special nuclear material possessed pursuant to AEC Licenses DPR-6 and Slui-614 for the Big Rock Point station of Consumers Power Company. Based on our review of the inspection results, inventory verification analyses and records audit, it appears that there were no items of noncompliance with present regulatory requirements.
The inspectors did note that certain sections'of 10 CFR, Part 73,
" Physical Protection of Special Nuclear Material', which would be applicable to the Big Rock Point station would have to be complied with prior to or at the time of receipt of more than 5 kgs. of plutonium. These parts are.

"Esch licensee shall keep records of the names and addreases of all individuals who have been designated as authorized individuals."

requirements with the Big Bock Point station personnel during
