This amendment includes Change No. 45 to the Technical Specifi-cations, Appendix A.
This amendment adds interim surveillance requirements to the Technical Specifications for the Big Rock Point Plant pending completion and acceptance of certain modifications to the facility to assure that it will withstand the consequences of postulated ruptures in the high energy fluid piping outside containment without loss of capability to achieve and maintain cafe shutdown of the facility.
Copies of the Safety Evaluation and the Federal Register Notica relating to this action also are enclosed.
We request that you inform us, within 30 days of this letter, of your final schedule for completion of your proposed modifications to the facility relating to the high energy fluid piping system.
