~This refers to the inspec' tion conducted by' Messrs. R. P. Mullikin and

J. E. Bess of this office during the period February 25 - May 3,1985, of
activities authorized by NRC' Construction Permit CPPR-145 for River Bend
Station, and to the discussion of our findings with Mr. T. .L. ,Crouse, and other
members of your-staff at the conclusion of the inspection.-

? Areas examined during'the inspection included electrica'l equipment and'
.
. instrumentation installations,. verification of electrical cable terminations-
and routing,- review of QC personnel qualification records, review of electrical
l separation, and rev'iew of licens'ee audits and s.urveillances. Within these

' areas, the inspection consisted of selective examination of procedures and-
representative records,' interviews with personnel, and~ observations by the
' inspectors. These findings are documented in the enclosed inspection report.

During this inspection, Lit was found that certain of your activities appeared

to deviate from a commitment made.to the NRC.
This item and reference to the
commitment"is identified in the enclosed Notice of Deviation. You are
' requested to respond to this deviation in writing.
