Dear Mr. Denton:
. Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) submits a check in the amount of $294,877 for the operating license review for the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant Unit No.~ 2 (SHNPP). This payment is in response to Bill No. D-0244 dated April 11,1985. The check is being sent directly to Ms. Janet M. Rodciquez by copy of this letter.
Carolina Power & Light Company reserves the right to challenge the validity of the bill and to conduct future audits of the charges. On December 21,1983, CP&L notified both the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board of the cancellation of SHNPP Unit No. 2. Our concerns are related to the cancellation date of SHNPP Unit No. 2 versus the applicability of the rule and charges after December 21, 1983.
