SUMMARY

JULY,1996 l

Oyster Creek operated at full load until July 12, when power was reduced to 35% to perform the l

quarterly Main Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) full closure surveillance. The power reduction provided a window of opportunity to repair a leaking seal on the C-Condensate Pump. On July 15, the plant resumed full power operation following successful pump maintenance and testing of the MSIVs.

There were no other significant power reductions during July.

During the month, the plant generated 443,961 MWh net electric which was 96.4% ofits MDC rated capacity.
