Dear Mr. Wakild:
In accordance with the notification requirements of NPDES Permit No.
NC0007064, this is to inform you that Carolina Power & Light Company's (CP&L)
Brunswick Steam Electric Plant exceeded the biochemical oxygen demand (BOD ) daily S
average limitation of 30 mg/l for the sewage treatment facility. This sample, taken on March 27, had a BOD 5 of 33 mg/1.
