DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Safety Evaluation for RCC Guide Thimble Plue Removal We have completed our safety evaluation for the removal of rod cluster control (RCC) guide thimble plugs and concluded that the change can be done under 10 CFR 50.59. Since the NRC Staff has expressed interest in reviewing this safety evaluation, this report is being submitted for your review. In accordance with 10 CFR Part 170, a $150 check is enclosed as the required application fee.

Completion of your review prior to August of 1985 will allow us time to purchase new thimble plugs if their removal will not be acceptable.
