- NARRATIVE SUFDfARY OF MONTHLY OPERATING EXPERIENCE February 1985 February.1 The Station was in Operational Mode I with Reactor Power at a nominal 100 percent. Reactor Coolant System was at normal operating pressure and temperature.

February 2' At.0542 hours0.00627 days
0.151 hours
8.96164e-4 weeks
2.06231e-4 months
on the 2nd a power level. reduction, to through approximately 28 percent, began due to a condenser tube February 3 le ak. .The leaking condenser tube was plugged at 0250 hours0.00289 days
0.0694 hours
4.133598e-4 weeks
9.5125e-5 months
on the 3rd and a power level increase toward a nominal 100 percent began at 0745 hours0.00862 days
0.207 hours
0.00123 weeks
2.834725e-4 months
on the 3rd.

February 4- The Station was in Operational Mode I with Reactor Power through at a nominal 100 percent. Reactor Coolant System was at

~ February.7 normal operating pressure and temperature.

February 8 At 1114 hours0.0129 days
0.309 hours
0.00184 weeks
4.23877e-4 months
on the 8th, power level was reduced due to through a rapid drop in Reactor Coolant System temperature. The sFebruary 10 problem was attributed to boric acid ent ering - the demineralizer header through.a leaking isolation valve pH-49}. ( At 1300 hours0.015 days
0.361 hours
0.00215 weeks
4.9465e-4 months
on the 8th the valve, [CH-49), was isolated and power escalation began, reaching a ' nominal 100 percent at .1900 hours0.022 days
0.528 hours
0.00314 weeks
7.2295e-4 months
.

Power level was reduced to approximately 28 percent at 2220 hours0.0257 days
0.617 hours
0.00367 weeks
8.4471e-4 months
on the 8th to perform maintenance on 'B' Feedwater Regulator Valve-[FCV-FW-488].

At 0845 hours0.00978 days
0.235 hours
0.0014 weeks
3.215225e-4 months
on the 10th the ' B' Feedwater Regulating Valve was. returned to se rvice. and . power . level was increased to a nominal 100 percent at 1215 hours0.0141 days
0.338 hours
0.00201 weeks
4.623075e-4 months
on the 10th.

February 11 The Station was in Operational Mode 1- with Reactor Power at a nominal 100 percent. Reactor Coolant System was

~

through February 14 at normal operating pressure and temperature.

February 15 Began a' power reduction at 1350 hours0.0156 days
0.375 hours
0.00223 weeks
5.13675e-4 months
due to a suspected problem with :a feedwater pump [ FW-P-1B] seal. At 1354-hours the scals integrity was restored, by reestablishing suction pressure in the feed pump, and power level was increased to a nominal 100 percent.
